2011 Updates:
1. Early Morning Routes effective Monday, August 29: Routes 1, 3, and 5 begin at 6:35 a.m.; stop at LHS at end of route. Routes 2, 4, and 6 begin at 7:00 a.m.; stop at LHS at end of route. Route 3: Express Route at 7:45 a.m.; Woburn, Lowell, Maple St. (only) Routes 1 and 5 are not covered between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m.

Lexpress is now linked to Google Transit - To explore a route and times, go to Google Transit and enter starting and ending points. You must include Town and State. A map showing Lexpress route along with boarding and arrival time will appear.

General Information:

LEXPRESS is Lexington's neighborhood minibus system.
Each route operates once per hour. Routes begin and end at Depot Square. Each route takes approximately 25 minutes. Even numbered routes start on the hour, odd numbered routes on the half hour.
When exiting LEXPRESS, cross behind the bus after it pulls away. Please cross the streets with care and always cross at a crosswalk or traffic lights if available. Cars are not required to stop when LEXPRESS or the MBTA buses let off riders.
LEXPRESS connects to the following transit systems: MBTA, Burlington B-Line and Lowell Regional Transit.
Joseph's Transportation Inc. operates the service under contract with the Town of Lexington. Funding is provided by the Town of Lexington, the MBTA, and donations from local businesses. |
