Committee Process:
Check the Public Meetings Calendar for specific meeting dates. The Committee generally meets on Monday or Thursday at 3:00 pm in the Town Office Building.
The Community Preservation Committee recommends CPA projects to Town Meeting, which makes the final decision on uses of CPA funds. Deadlines for project submission are:
- November 1 for consideration for recommendation to the spring Annual Town Meeting.

On March 6, 2006, Lexington voted to adopt the Community Preservation Act. The CPA provides a new funding source for:
Lexington's Community Preservation Fund will derive funding from a 3% surcharge on local real estate taxes and matching funds from the Commonwealth.
