The Universal Waste Shed Facility is Closed from Dec. 19 - mid-March 2011 (operating hours will be posted in the spring).

Directions to the facility:
From Rte 128 take exit 31 (Rte 4/225 heading towards Bedford).
At the first light take a right, via jug handle, onto Hartwell Ave.
The composting facility site is ¼ mile on the left just after the bike path .

Residents can drop-off the following mercury containing devices:

thermostats,
fluorescent bulbs,
compact fluorescent bulbs,
button cell batteries, and
nickel cadium rechargeable batteries;

     Absolutely no other hazardous waste products will be accepted at the
     Universal Waste Shed except on one of the 8 annual HHP collection days*.
     Proof of residency required upon request.

*HHP collection days are open in 2011 on the following 8 weekend days,
from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm: [Collection dates are Saturdays except where indicated.]
