AM and PM peak hour traffic flow networks for Existing, No Build and Build conditions. Existing conditions were counted in September 2009 with approximately 1.4 million square feet of commercial space occupied in the Hartwell Avenue corridor. No Build conditions represent Existing conditions plus new traffic associated with the potential full occupancy of all existing commercial space in the corridor (approximately 2.0 million square feet.) The Build scenario assumes that additional floor space (approximately 700,000 square feet) is built and occupied as allowed under the TMOD.

Roadway Cross Sections for Hartwell Avenue South of Maguire Road, Hartwell Avenue North of Maguire Road and Bedford Street East of Hartwell Avenue. The roadway cross sections illustrate existing conditions along the roadways and alternative treatments wherein additional travel lanes, turning lanes, medians, sidewalks, and/or multi-use paths are added. The benefits and impacts associated with each of these alternative treatments will be discussed at the hearing.

Roadway Plans for Hartwell Avenue and Bedford Street. One potential corridor plan is provided for Hartwell Avenue and for Bedford Street to help understand how the cross section treatments would be applied. The plan views more clearly illustrate the limits of potential construction impacts along the corridor. They also show potential intersection treatments.

Wood Street Traffic Calming Alternatives. Two drawings are provided showing potential traffic calming devices that could be installed at multiple intersections along Wood Street to slow traffic and discourage through traffic movements. Alternative strategies such as restricting turns allowed on and off of Wood Street at Hartwell Avenue and at Massachusetts Avenue will be presented and discussed at the hearing.
