2009 Fall Special Town Meeting

The Planning Board is required by state law to provide Town Meeting a recommendation on any and all zoning articles put on the warrant by the Selectmen. For the Fall Special Town Meeting, there are two citizen petition zoning articles and a zoning article offered by the Board of Selectmen's Center Committee. Information about these articles follows. THE TOWN MEETING WAS DISSOLVED NOVEMBER 18, 2009


The Center Committee has submitted proposed amendments to the Zoning Bylaw to allow additional uses in the Center and to exempt the CB District from Section 135-71B of the Bylaw, which requires the Special Permit Granting Authority to make a determination of adequate street and intersection capacity prior to the issuance of a building permit.

ARTICLE 4 PASSED AT TOWN MEETING, NOVEMBER 16, 2009.        

 


 Two rezoning proposals have been submitted for consideration at a Special Town Meeting - Lexington Technology Park off of Spring Street, and Cubist Pharmaceuticals at 65 Hayden Avenue.  Links to these submissions are below. 

Lexington Technology Park  Approval of the proposed amendment to the Planned Commercial Development (CD) District would allow an additional 380,000 gross square feet of research/office space and 510,000 gross square feet of structured parking .  The property is at 125, 131, 141 Spring Street (now known as 125 Spring Street, 200, 300, 400 and 600 Patriot Way), Lexington, MA, shown on Assessor's Map 26, Lot 44E and Map 18, Lots 15D, E, F and G. 

The Planning Board recommends favorable action on Article 2 Lexington Technology Park. For further information see the Planning Board Report on Article 2.

ARTICLE 2 PASSED AT TOWN MEETING, NOVEMBER 9, 2009.

Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc.  Approval of the proposed amendment would allow an additional 110,000 gross square feet of research/office space and 180,000 gross square feet of structured parking.  The property is located at 45, 55 and 65 Hayden Avenue, Lexington, MA, shown on Assessor's Map 17, Lots 20B and 21A.
