Memorial Day - Monday, May 25, 2015 - Wreath laying, parade, and Battle Green ceremony.
Revolutionary Revelry calendar of events during the entire month of May - music, food, arts, sports, history, fitness, and special events including street pianos, scavenger hunt, and dining discounts. Sponsored by the Tourism Committee.
Public Works Day - Thursday, May 21, 10am - 2pm. Family fun at the Samuel Hadley Public Service Building, 201 Bedford Street.
East Massachusetts Avenue roadway improvements - The Town of Lexington seeks to improve pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular traffic safety as well as improve traffic operations along a section of Massachusetts Avenue between Pleasant Street and Marrett Road. This project is currently programmed for funding thorough the state's Transportation Improvement Program. A public hearing was held on May 7 2015. The public comment period will be open until May 21, 2015.
Community Conversation on Mental Health and Mental Illness in Lexington - Monday June 1 at the Lexington Historical Society, 13 Depot Square, at 7:00 PM. Lexington Public Health, Human Services and School Department staff and representatives of Lexington Youth and Family Services, Edinburg Center and Basic Needs US have been working together for almost a year. We need your input to spark an ongoing dialog on mental health and illness in Lexington, identify the gaps in services for people with mental illnesses and identify what we as a town can do about it.
