Permit Applications and Information
All underground tanks must have a concrete pad under the tank, and tank has to be secured.
Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector Certification Application
This application is now online in OpenGov/ViewPoint Cloud (VPC)
To apply for a Certificate, you must have:
- complied with all applicable regulations: Guide to Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector Regulations (PDF)
- your house number on your house and be visible from the street
You must pay for the Certificate before the inspection:
- Pay online in OpenGov/VPC with a credit card or echeck
- Drop off a check in the Fire Prevention dropbox in the Fire Station lobby at 45 Bedford Street. The check must be clearly labeled with the Lexington property address and the OpenGov/VPC application number.
- Mail a check to Lexington Fire Prevention, 45 Bedford Street, Lexington, MA, 02420. The check must be clearly labeled with the Lexington property address and the OpenGov/VPC application number.
