About the Department
The Department of Public Facilities (DPF) was created as a new department within the town of Lexington by joint resolution of the Municipal and School Departments and approved by Town Meeting in 2007.

The Department of Public Facilities manages design and construction of Lexington's town owned buildings and schools.

Requests to rent space in Lexington Public School Buildings, Battin Hall at the Cary Memorial Building, and the Public Service Building are coordinated by the Department of Public Facilities.
