Author David Sobel will reveal three of his favorite rides, discuss the variables he uses when designing a ride, explain how to design rides using online tools like “Map My Ride” or “Strava,” and advocate for incorporating bike riding 3-5 times a week into your personal wellness regime.
Author David Sobel will give a presentation based on his new book, "Best Bike Rides in New England," in this Zoom webinar. Sobel will reveal three of his favorite rides, discuss the variables he uses when designing a ride, explain how to design rides using online tools like “Map My Ride” or “Strava,” and advocate for incorporating bike riding 3-5 times a week into your personal wellness regime. In his book he focuses on backroads biking. The rides are mostly in the 12-16 mile range, and they focus on exploring the natural and cultural landscapes of New England.
In collaboration with the Friends of Lexington Bikeways/Bike Lexington, Ashland Public Library, Groton Public Library, Lucius Beebe Memorial Library, Maynard Public Library, Newton Free Library, Peabody Institute Library, Danvers, Randall Library, Stowe, Robbins Library, and Somerville Public Library.
