Porchfest

The Lexington Council for the Arts is hosting its inaugural Porchfest, a free, super cool grassroots community music festival where musicians perform on front porches, decks, lawns, or driveways. Porchfest provides the perfect chance for talented folks to share their tunes with neighbors and for everyone to rediscover their neighborhood in a fun new way.

Over 80 bands and musicians will perform on over 50 porches in wonderful Lexington neighborhoods. Listen to a wide variety of musical genres, ranging from rock to Italian songs of the 80-90s to a saxophone quintet to Israeli pop-rock. You can wander around, soaking up free music and local vibes using the map to be found at the Porchfest website. Additional information is available on our website and will also be available at the Porchfest information booth on the day of the event (at Emery Park).

This event will take place at multiple locations (rain date will be Sunday, October 1). What could be nicer on an early fall afternoon?
