Construction Update: Week of May 23-27

Work zones will be contained to zones on the north side of the street from:

  • Meriam Street to Depot Square (Eastern Bank)
  • Edison Way to Waltham Street (CVS)
  • Waltham Street (CVS) to Depot Square

See the current workzone maps.

Installation of the final brick walking surface will begin Monday, May 23. Installation of final brick will follow excavation and installation of temporary concrete walking surface for the duration of the project.

It is anticipated that work over the next 4-6 weeks will likely be the heaviest construction activity that we will see during the project. There will be a lot of activity in the construction zones. After that, construction disruption will lessen to a degree, but will remain consistent and ongoing until the end of the construction season.

As always, access to businesses will REMAIN OPEN AT ALL TIMES. Please remember to check our interactive map for the latest construction work zones.
