Lexington offers two community garden sites on conservation land for growing organic vegetables, fruits, berries, and flowers.
Idylwilde Community Garden
Located at Idylwilde conservation area between Middle and Lincoln Streets (larger map). Idylwilde offers full plots (20' x 20') and half plots (20' x 10') with perennial strips, pre-season plowing, perimeter fencing, full sun, and water service. Idylwilde was expanded in 2018 and now includes 110 plots!
Current plot fees (subject to change):
- $50/full plot
- $25/half plot

Community Garden Registration Information
New gardener registration will take place on Monday, May 18th at 9am through the Town of Lexington Recreation and Community Programs system for the 2020 gardening season at Idylwilde Community Garden. There is 1 full plot and 16 half plots available. The plots are granted on a first come, first serve basis. Once all garden plots have been accounted for the Garden Coordinator will reach out to those who have been granted a plot informing them of their specific plot.
