The results of the survey will also help us to communicate Lexington’s needs to state and local partners. All Lexington businesses are encouraged to take this survey.

Financial Assistance

  • NEW: Updated Unemployment Information
    • The Massachusetts Department of Unemployment Assistance has just announced long-awaited guidance of CARES Act programs that will expand unemployment eligibility; temporarily increase weekly benefits for all claimants; and allow additional categories of people (including self-employed, independent contractors, gig economy workers) to claim unemployment benefits.

  • Federal Small Business Assistance (3/30/2020)
    • Congress recently passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act which includes provisions that are intended to assist business owners with immediate needs. The Act includes programs such as:

      • Small Business Debt Relief Program 
      • Counseling and Training

  • The Economic Development Office is maintaining a list of restaurants, shops, and other businesses that are open for take out, delivery, virtual shopping, and more. If you would like to be included on this list, please contact the Economic Development Office.
  • During this time, the Town is allowing an open business to have one sandwich board sign outside their establishment indicating they are open. Please make sure the sign does not block the sidewalk. No banners or flags are allowed.
