Energy Conservation Committee (dissolved)

This committee was dissolved by the Board of Selectmen on December 2, 2019, as the Sustainable Lexington Committee has taken on this work.

From the Committee charge:

The Energy Conservation Committee advises Town officials on ways to enhance energy conservation throughout the Town’s existing physical plant, including but not limited to all municipal and school buildings, street lights, vehicles and equipment.

The Committee considers possible energy conservation standards and may recommend any that they see have a reasonable payback. The Committee will also recommend organizational changes that could provide ongoing monitoring and management of energy costs, and an energy policy that ensures sustained commitment to energy conservation.
