Emergency Medical Services

The Lexington Fire Department is celebrating our 75th year of providing an ambulance service to our citizens.  Over those years we have stayed current with advances in emergency medicine and today provide advanced life support (ALS) as a standard.

Our highly trained staff is capable of providing the most advanced level of care on the scene.  The department operates two ALS ambulance and has the ability to place a third ambulance in service for specail events such as Patriot Day.

Weekday's one ambulance is staffed in each of our two stations and during the weekend we cross staff with the ladder crew.  We maintain mutual aid agreements with out neighboring communities to assist each other when needed.
