Recreation and Community Programs Department

The Lexington Recreation and Community Programs Department is excited to announce we will be opening up limited permitting for athletic field use in the coming weeks! We are working with our Public Works Department to prioritize and prepare our most requested fields to ensure fields are ready for use.  Here is more information on the Massachusetts Phase 3, Step 1 reopening.

In order to obtain a permit, you must first submit a field permit application online. You will be asked to upload 3 files in order to complete your request. These files are; 1)Season Rosters, 2)Certificate of Insurance for at least $1 million with the Town of Lexington listed as a secondary insurer, 3)CORI Letter stating any volunteers have been independently background checked through your organization. If you do not have updated files, please upload the most current information.  A confirmed permit will be processed once all information is up-to-date and current. All requests will be processed based on the field policy and field availability.

A field permit holder will be required to attend a meeting to review the Lexington-specific Phase C guidelines for field use.  Field permit holders will be required to share the guidelines to all participants, parents, volunteers and coaches.  It is a requirement that all Lexington-specific guidelines as well as Massachusetts guidelines are met at all times in order to keep participants, volunteers, coaches and spectators safe. The Lexington Recreation and Community Programs Department has the right to revoke any permits issued for violating any of the guidelines.
