The Recreation and Community Programs Department is excited to announce the opening of Lexington's new 9-hole Disc Golf course, located at the Bridge School on Middleby Road. Disc Golf is fairly similar to regular golf but instead of getting a ball into the hole, the player throws a disc (frisbee) down the fairway into a basket. This sport is for individuals of all ages and abilities, so we encourage everyone to give it a try! You can view a map of the course and layouts for each of the nine holes by clicking on the link above. The first hole is located next to the Bridge #2 softball field near Middleby Road and parking is available in front of the Bridge School during non drop-off and pick-up times.
Along with the support of Boy Scout Troop #119, the course was designed and constructed by Pieter Svenson, Lexington resident, to fulfill his Eagle Scout communuity service project. The Recreation and Community Programs Department is grateful for Pieter's hard work and dedication over the past two years to see this project through and as a result, Lexington residents will have the opportunity to play the up-and-coming sport of Disc Golf for years to come!
